Now after all the things Amanda did she failed to she that she was the cause of it.If she never flashed on webcam, her nude pictures would not be on the internet.

Moving onto the hypocrite people on Facebook sucking your gaandu. When you were alive where were they? Now you are dead they make Facebook pages preaching about stopping bullying. It's funny how when you need people they are never their for you, but when you are gone they want to do something about it. I dislike people like this.
What I dislike the most is how when I am using my freedom of speech and saying how I feel about this subject they send me death threats like the bullies did to Amanda and they think it right? Wait, wasn't these the same people who was preaching a change and to stop bullying? Sometimes I just hate the idiots which roam this world. They are making this a never ending cycle of bullying and they just don't know it.
I got messages on my Facebook like "Amanda was an angel you f*cking b*tch, go hang yourself. No one cares about you" I wasn't hurt by this at all because I am a strong woman but I just thought to myself that this idiot is a bully and people like him are the same ones who pushed Amanda to her death.
Now thing like this is being made about her...
Now, how can she be an angel when she killed herself? Thou shall not kill but she took her own life. These people have forgotten the bible I guess. I'm not christian but I know what they preach at churches.
If you kill yourself you are not going to heaven. She will not rest in peace also, because she killed herself.

But people are making her out to be some type of star when they never knew her. She has been painted to be this perfect picture when she isn't at all. A good girl doesn't flash herself to older guys on a webcam.
I think we all are thinking what the parents did to help her? Only God knows because I've heard nothing about what they did for her. Just one of those families who don't care about what happens I guess.
Okay this is all I will write on this subject. Was planning to do it some days back but I was too busy with life. I wont say "Rest In P...." To her because she killed herself. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, be honest, you are being nasty. However I do commend you for taking the conversation away from the Amanda Todd memorial page. The fact that you’ve taken the time to write down your thoughts also indicates that this is something that concerns you to some degree, and for that I’ll take the time to give you my two cents.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time looking into Amanda’s story in order to determine exactly what happened to this girl. You can’t get the complete picture from watching the Youtube video, or viewing her tribute pages, or reading newspaper article. I’ve done it all and I’ve done my own internet research. This is what I’ve discovered:
There is an online community of pedophiles called ‘cappers' (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=capper). These are predators and manipulators that go online searching for young girls to victimize (fifth definition). They spend their time manipulating girls, often becoming their ‘friend’ and convincing them, eventually, to flash the webcam. Imagine yourself being alone and safe in your room at twelve years old, a boy is being very sweet and saying all the right things, and just for one second you accommodate his request and flash. You think it was so quick he might not have even seen. However, this ‘boy’ is actually 32 years old and is video recording everything. He takes stills of the video, sends them to you and says “do what I say or I’ll send these to your friends.” The predator then coerces the girl into doing things on webcam. She doesn’t know what to do, she only wants it all to go away so she does what he asks. Meanwhile, it’s all being recorded.
This is precisely what happened to Amanda. However it got worse. When she eventually refused to do what he demanded, he followed through on his threats. On Facebook, posing as a new student about to start attending Amanda’s school, he friended all of Amanda’s friends. Then he sent them all of the pictures he had collected. She was taunted shunned and teased and lost all of her friends. To try to escape, she changed schools. This predator found out her new school and repeated his actions, using Facebook to distribute the pictures to as many people as he could. Again, she changed schools and he followed her, doing the same thing. She couldn’t escape. This went on for three years.
Amanda was in desperate need of friends. She only wanted to be loved by someone. Everyone shunned her or was too embarrassed to be seen with her. You can see how this might lead to her becoming involved with a boy with a girlfriend, who it turns out only set her up to get laid. Somehow, this was Amanda’s fault. The kids beat her up and left her in a ditch. It was probably the final straw.
One moment of indiscretion, from a naïve 12 year old girl, at the hands of an online predator led to this tragedy.
Posting negative comments on her memorial pages is going to result in serious backlash. The sickest and most insensitive people have been posting there, which is resulting in a bit of an online war. Unfortunately, you with your negative slant on her story have been categorized with all the sickos, and therefore are being attacked. These aren’t hypocrites, they are people defending the memory of a victimized girl. These are the people who stand up to bullies, and predators, and pedophiles.
Amanda didn’t take her own life, her life was taken from her.
Amanda was incredibly brave to make that video. She put out the bare facts, with no excuses. She said she messed up. Unfortunately she left out the details which would have provided the context for the situation, and provided more understanding from the general public. Unfortunately, those who are quick to judge will never care to know her story.

Your post about Jacintha Saldanha completely betrays a double standard. Amanda Todd suffered bullying and harassment for two years before committing suicide, Saldanha took her life (having reputedly already unsuccessfully attempted this twice before in the previous year) three days after the prank call, and yet you really believe that Saldanha is somehow less responsible for for her death? Just because she is Indian? I'm not criticising Saldanha, I'm just disgusted by the way you talk about Todd, your self importance and complete lack of compassion.

i agree with this.. all of these little girl trying to act all grown sexting having sex at an early age, drinking, doing drugs. and want other people to respect them.
